Easy Spanakopita Dip

Ingredients

  • Greek Yogurt– 1 ¼ cups. You can sub in sour cream if your choose to for the Greek Yogurt.
  • Minced Garlic– 1 clove or 1 ½ teaspoons.
  • Feta Cheese– 1 cup crumbled.
  • Spinach– 1 ½ cups chopped. If using a canned or frozen please have your spinach drained before adding it to this dip recipe.
  • Olive Oil– 1 tablespoon.
  • Greek seasoning such as one of these- (up to) 1 tablespoon.
  • Dill– 1 tablespoon.
  • Optional- make this more like a dip by adding softened 4 ounces cream cheese.

Instructions

  • As mentioned, please be sure that your spinach has been well-drained before adding it to this recipe. Also, this recipe can be made in a food processor or Vitamix.
  • In your food processor of Vitamix, place your Greek Yogurt, minced garlic, and feta cheese. Give these ingredients a few pulses so that they are lightly mixed. Then add the spinach, olive oil, Greek seasoning and dill. Pulse these ingredients until you get a smooth consistency, scraping the sides of the container as needed.
  • Add the optional softened cream cheese, and additional seasonings as desired to offset it, and pulse until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Refrigerate your dip for at least an hour before serving.
  • You can find all kinds of phyllo cups, shells or dough online here. Or, you could simply serve your dip with some pita chips if you choose to as well.

AS MENTIONED ABOVE, THERE ARE A FEW INGREDIENTS THAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS EASY SPANAKOPITA DIP RECIPE THAT YOU MAY NOT HAVE ON HAND
Greek seasoning , such as one of these, will give this dip an authentic taste. Also, minced garlic, dill, and chopped spinach are needed.
There are also a variety of ways to serve this Easy Spanakopita Dip
You can find all kinds of phyllo cups, shells or dough online here. Or, you could simply serve your dip with some pita chips if you choose to as well.
