Ingredients

  • Flatbread Pizza Crust- 1 crust. You can use this recipe to make your own I also have Flatbread crust or you can use a pre-made flatbread crust.
  • Olive Oil– 1 teaspoon.
  • Mozzarella Cheese- 1 cup shredded. Alternatively you can use a Mozzarella cheese ball that you cut into pieces or chunks.
  • Tomatoes- 2 medium size sliced about 8 ounces. Alternatively, you can use four Roma tomatoes instead.
  • Garlic– 3 cloves chopped or minced. That is about 3 teaspoons minced.
  • Basil– 6-8 leaves chopped or as desired. Fresh basil is desired.
  • Seasonings as desired- This can include Italian Seasonings Salt, and/or Pepper.

Instructions

  • Prepare the flatbread as indicated in the manufacturers directions. I suggest preparing it on parchment paper for easier clean up and transport.
  • Preheat the oven to 425. Then brush the flatbread with the oil and bake for two to three minutes to get warm.
  • Remove the flatbread from the oven and assemble the toppings starting with the cheese and then the tomatoes.
  • Return the pizza to the oven and bake until it begins to brown- about eight to 10 minutes.
  • Feel free to top with additional cheese or seasonings before serving.

Recipe Notes

The easiest way to make this recipe is to use a pre-made flatbread to make the pizza on. You may even have a flatbread crust on hand.
I also mentioned that this pizza recipe can be made on the grill.
To make this pizza on the grill simply brush the bread with olive oil and grill it for a few minutes until it begins to brown. Remove the flatbread from the grill add the remaining ingredients and grill covered until done (should only take a few minutes).
