Equipment

Ingredients

  • Diced Tomatoes with Seasoning and ingredients already added to it– 1 10-12 ounce can.
  • Sliced Olives– ¼ cup. You can omit this or use more if desired.
  • Refried Beans– 1 15-16 ounce can.
  • Sour Cream– 1 14-16 ounce container.
  • Taco or Mexican style seasoning– 1 1 ½ ounces envelop size
  • Pre-made Guacamole- 12-14 ounces.
  • Shredded Cheese– 1 ½ cups. You can use a blend or simply a cheddar or similar cheese.
  • Sliced Green Onions– ¼ cup.
  • And of course tortilla or similar dipping chip.

Instructions

  • Start by prepping and slicing your ingredients if not already prepared. Also, drain the excess liquid from your canned tomatoes and the olives.
  • In a separate bowl, blend together the sour cream and the Taco/Mexican Style seasoning. Set this bowl aside for a moment.
  • We will start by layering the refried beans on the bottom of the glass container that you will use for this recipe. The refried beans are the heaviest and the darkest ingredients and thus, should go on the bottom of the bowl or container.
  • Carefully, spread the mixed sour cream and seasoning from the bowl that you set aside over the refried beans. Be careful to not blend through the layer and thus, bring up your beans into your white sour cream layer. The sour cream layer should be spread as evenly as possible over the beans.
  • Now layer your sour cream layer with the guacamole layer. Again, spread this evenly and without going through to the sour cream layer.
  • Top the guacamole with the cheese and then the tomatoes and lastly, the sliced onion and olives.
  • Refrigerate for at least an hour to allow this to set.
  • Serve this with your chips for dipping.

Recipe Notes
