Ingredients

  • 1 Cauliflower
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 3 tsp Seasonings
  • 12 oz Beer

Instructions

  • Prepare the cauliflower as indicated above. Allow the cauliflower to dry if it is not dry. In a shallow bowl, use a fork to blend together the flour and seasonings. Stir in the beer to form a ‘wet’ batter (not runny).
To coat the cauliflower, simply dredge it through the batter. Use a fork to hold the cauliflower and then a teaspoon to coat it as needed with batter.

  • Skillet stove top method: in a medium sized skillet, heat enough oil to fry with (about ½ cup depending on the size of your skillet) on medium heat until warm enough to fry (about 350 degrees). Fry each piece of cauliflower until browned on each side (2 ½-3 minutes or so per side). Then transfer the fried cauliflower to a large dish lined with clean paper towels to cool.
Oven method: line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 450. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden, flipping the cauliflower after ten minutes.
