  • Apple Scraps -cores and skin from 8 apples
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • Water

Instructions

  • Place the apple scraps into the clean jar filling the jar about ¾ of the way full. Pour the water over the apples and then stir in the sugar.
    Stir or shake your jars to thus fully incorporate the sugar with the apples and water as needed. Cover the mason jar with the jar ring and a paper towel, or a coffee filter. Feel free to loosely secure your jar with a rubber band. Store your jar in a dark location that is warm, not cool, for two weeks.
  • After two weeks has gone by, use a strainer to remove the apple remnants
    Then place the coffee filter (or paper towel) back on to the top of the jar with the mason jar ring. Store for another four weeks, stirring daily.
