  • 2 cup Rolled Oats
  • 4 cup Water
  • Flavoring such as maples syrup, honey, or vanilla extract. - as needed

Instructions

  • To soften your oats, place them in a jar or bowl and then cover them with water overnight. Then rinse the oats in a strainer under cold water. This is an optional, yet helpful, step.
  • Combine together your ingredients in your blender and blend on high until well blended. It can take from 30 seconds if you have soaked your oats to a couple of minutes if you have not.
    However, do not over blend as doing so can break down the starch and cause a slime to develop
  • To strain the milk, place cheesecloth over a large bowl. Then pour the mixture over the cheesecloth and allow it to drain through on its own.
    Repeat the straining process as needed to get rid of any chunks or if your want a less creamy milk result.
