Start by making the vinegarette dressing. Use a whisk or shaker to combine together all of the vinaigrette ingredients except for the maple syrup and seasonings. Then add the maple syrup and seasonings making adjustments for taste as needed. You can refrigerate the dressing while you assemble the salad. In a large salad bowl, place your lettuce.
Tear and large pieces and give the lettuce a quick toss. Cover and refrigerate the lettuce until ten minutes before serving.
When you are ready to serve the salad, drizzle some of the vinegarette over the lettuce and then toss the ingredients.
Transfer the tossed salad into each of the serving bowls. Top the salad with the sliced apples, walnuts, and the feta cheese. Serve immediately.
