  • Olive Oil– 4 tablespoons.
  • Garlic– 2 cloves or 2 ½-3 tablespoons minced.

  • Prepare your linguine as indicated on the package. If you are using a whole 16 ounce package of linguine then simply double the remaining ingredients.
  • In a medium skillet (large if you are doubling the other ingredients) heat your olive oil over medium heat Add the garlic and saute it until becomes translucent- a couple of minutes. Then stir in the wine.
  • Next, add the shrimp to the skillet and cook the shrimp until it turns pink, about eight minutes.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and toss the ingredients with the cooked linguine. Top with any optional ingredients and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

As mentioned, you will need olive oil instead of butter to make this recipe. The nutty-like taste that comes naturally from olive anything sits nicely with the garlic. You probably will not miss the heavy fatty taste of butter in this recipe as a result.
Also needed in this pasta recipe is garlic. This recipe calls for 2 cloves of garlic that is minced. However, if you are using already minced garlic then you will need about 2 ½ teaspoons or three teaspoons if you want a bolder taste.
Also, a simple or basic linguine to make this recipe. as well as a light dry white wine. Use a large or medium sized shrimp in this recipe as opposed to a small or even salad sized shrimp as the meaty taste of the shrimp adds to the overall taste of this dish. Please make sure that your shrimp has been deveined and peeled.
