Equipment

Ingredients

Dressing.

Salad.

  • 4 cups Salad Mix - Such as spring mix or baby spinach
  • 4 Apples. - washed cored and thinly sliced or diced
  • 1 cup Walnuts -chopped or sliced
  • 1 cup Croutons.
  • 1 cup Blue Cheese. - crumbled.

Instructions

  • Dressing. To make the dressing, in a bowl or salad dressing jar, combine together the apple cider vinegar, balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil, and Dijon mustard. You can use a whisk to do this. Taste the dressing and make adjustments or add the salt and pepper as needed for flavor. Then allow the dressing to sit while you assemble the salad.
  • Lettuce. Place the salad into the bottom of a large bowl. You may need to tear leaves as needed to make the leaves uniform in size.
  • Apples. If you have not done so, slice or chop the apples into bite sized pieces after coring and removing the stem and seeds. Then place the apples, along with the walnuts, into the bowl and toss the ingredients.
  • Combine. Pour half of the dressing over the ingredients in the bowl. Toss the ingredients and then add additional dressing as needed.
  • Serve. Serve the salad with crumble blue cheese and croutons on top.
