Broccoli. To get the broccoli perfectly crisp and tender, start by preheating a skillet (dry) on medium heat. After heating the skillet for about a minute, you can add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook until lightly charred and slightly tender (about three minutes, stirring constantly). Transfer the cooked broccoli to a holding area such as a clean plate.
Chicken To cook the chicken, prep the warm skillet with olive oil and heat the oil for about a minute to get warm. Add the chicken to the warm skillet and sauté until golden brown and cooked through (about seven to eight minutes, stirring occasionally). Transfer the cooked chicken to a clean plate or similar holding area.
Sauce. Add the sesame oil to the warm skillet along with the soy sauce, oyster sauce, ginger purée, and minced garlic. Use a whisk or your wooden spoon to combine the ingredients as they cook allowing the flavors to meld (about two minutes).
Combine Add the cooked broccoli and cooked chicken to the warm sauce and use your wooden spoon to combine the ingredients so that the chicken and broccoli are coated with the sauce. Cook the ingredients for two to three more minutes tossing or stirring frequently to ensure that the ingredients are cooking evenly.
Serve Serve your chicken and broccoli over rice or as desired.
