Boil. Boil your potatoes until soft and fork tender (about 18-20 minutes). Then allow the potatoes to drain and cool for five to 10 minutes.
Prep. Preheat your oven to 425. Also, prep two rimmed baking sheets for nonstick (parchment paper, brushed oil, or spray can work).
Smash. Place the boiled potatoes onto the prepared baking sheets leaving space between them for smashing. Use a non-breakable item or the palm of your hand to carefully smash each of the potatoes.
Season. In a small bowl, use a whisk or fork to combine together the oil and the seasonings. Then use a pastry brush or similar item to brush the mixture over the potatoes.
Bake. Bake the potatoes for 10 minutes and then carefully flip the potatoes over. Continue to bake the potatoes for another 10-15 minutes or until they are crisp enough for your likings.
