Homemade Vegan Trail Mix

Homemade Vegan Trail Mix, a simple recipe for a delicious snack made with nuts, seeds, and sweetened with maple syrup.

Instructions

  • Start by preparing a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large saucepan on medium heat, bring the maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt to a boil, whisking as needed. Once it starts to boil, turn the heat down to low.
  • Add the nuts and seeds to the saucepan and cook until thick and the the seeds and nuts are evenly coated (about three and a half minutes). You should continue to whisk as needed.
    Once the mixture has thickened and the ingredients are coated, turn off the heat and stir in the dried fruit.
  • Carefully transfer the mixture to your prepared baking sheet, spreading the mix out evenly. Allow the mixture to set before breaking the ingredients into pieces and mixing in the optional chocolate chips.
