This recipe is especially for anyone asking is oatmeal and peanut butter healthy.

The experts remind us that oatmeal is a good source of fiber and protein. I eat oatmeal every day because it is filling and holds me for a while.

When it comes to the peanut butter it really depends upon the peanut butter itself.

This is because there are store bought peanut butter products that may have other ingredients in them to enhance the flavor or shelf life of the product. I like to make my own peanut butter or stick topeanut butter that may be organic and have no added sugar in it.

You may be wondering are granola bites healthy.

The short answer is yes. That is as long as you use ingredients such as fruit and oatmeal.

Think of these granola bites as a good alternative to cookies.

When you wrap these bites individually and refrigerate them, you have the perfect snack for in between meals.
However, these bites are awesome for kid and lunch or snack packing too!

    1. You can add some texture, crunch, and flavor by adding peanuts, sunflower seeds, or other nuts. Another option is to add chocolate chips.
    2. You can easily make this bites into granola bars. Simple press the mixture into a square baking dish and bake (it may take longer than the bites to bake). Allow the bars to cool before cutting
    3. Sometimes this kind of batter can get sticky when rolling it into balls. You can try wetting your hands with water or with a bit of nonstick or oil to help with this.

How to make no bake Peanut Butter Granola Bites

This recipe calls for using an egg to bind the ingredients together.
However, this recipe can be made as a no-bake recipe by removing the egg and using honey instead.

To make this into a no-bake recipe combine these ingredients, roll them into balls, and refrigerate until set.

    • Old fashion rolled oats- 1 ½ cups.
    • Peanut Butter- Âľ cup
    • Dried Fruit- ½ cup
    • Honey- 2 ½ tablespoons.

You may be wondering what the best fruit to bake with may be in this recipe.

Yes, you could use dried cranberries or raisins for this recipe.
However, other options would include strawberries (cut or diced small), blueberries (also cut up if needed), or a combination of these fruit ideas.
