I like that this could be the Easiest Peach Galette recipe ever!
This is because it makes it easier to enjoy this with others!
Easiest Peach Galette
This recipe is the perfect late summer way to enjoy some great tasting peaches.
While I like to enjoy peaches just the way they are, I also like to enjoy them in other ways as well.
Peaches really are a delicious fruit especially when they are in season.
People seem to really like not just their unique skin but, the juicy meat that is inside of that skin.
This is what makes a peach so tasty too!
Probably the most popular way to eat a peach is as they are.
However, peaches also work well in other great tasting ways.
I am referring to using peaches in other recipes.
Perhaps peaches taste best to some as jam or a spread.
Peach jam is certainly a popular choice. This is especially true when that jam is on top of a yummy tasting muffin or freshly baked biscuit.
Peach Galette is kind of like a relative of a peach pie.
This is because both galette and pie use a pastry or pie crust to hold on to their contents.
Also, both the galette and pie are baked with that pastry holding onto those contents.
I like to think of the galette as a more casual version of a pie.
That is, both the pie and the galette use basically the same ingredient which are basically baked in the same way.
However, the galette is causally assembled while the pie is painstakingly at times, assembled in a pie dish. Often the finished pie can resemble a piece of art rather than the 'as it is' casualness of a galette.
This really is an easy way to make a galette.
We are going to use a store bought premade (refrigerated) pie crust in this recipe.
You cold make this recipe harder albeit, by making your own crust.
Making your own pie crust can be rather simple as well.
You can make your own simple crust by combining flour (start with a cup and add more as needed) with a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of salt. The cup in a stick and a half of cut up butter into it. Work your crust by hand or by using the help of a food processor.
It is the peach filling that makes this recipe so special.
To make this recipe really simple, we will use just four ingredients for the filling.
Obviously, one of those ingredients will be peaches.

Easiest Peach Galette
Easiest Peach Galette
As mentioned, we will be using a 'cheat' of sorts to make this recipe even easier to make. We are going to use a store bought premade (refrigerated) pie crust in this recipe.
You will also need three to four fresh peaches.
Firmer peaches work better as we will be slicing them. Prepare your peaches by first peeling them, removing the pit, and then slicing the peaches into one half inch thick slices.
Easiest Peach Galette
Hear is what you will need to make this easy peach galette recipe.
- Store Bought (refrigerated) pie crust - 1 crust should be enough for this recipe.
- Peaches- 3 to 4 depending on their size. Prepare your peaches by first peeling them, removing the pit, and then slicing the peaches into one half inch thick slices.
- Butter- 2 tablespoons cut into eight to ten pieces. Refrigerated butter is easiest to cut.
- Sugar- 1 ½ tablespoons.
- Ground Cinnamon- 1 teaspoon.
Here is how to make the Easiest Peach Galette.
- Preheat your oven to 350. Prep a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper.
- Place the refrigerated pie crust onto the prepared baking sheet, arranging or rolling out the crust as needed. You want the dough to be about ⅛th thick for best results.
- In a small bowl and using a fork, mix together the ground cinnamon and the sugar. Set this bowl aside for a moment while you work.
- Next, arrange the sliced peaches inside of the pie crust. Do so while leaving about 2" of crust edges untouched on the outer edges. Some people like to have a design method of placing their peaches to yield a nice presentation. Simply placing your sliced peaches inside the crust should work well too.
- Top the peaches with the cut up butter and the sugar and cinnamon mixture as evenly as possible.
- Bake on the lower shelf of your oven until the edges begin to brown and the inside bubbles- about 40-45 minutes.
- Serve this galette alone or perhaps, with some vanilla ice cream on the side. The smell should also impress your crowd!
