I personally love the idea of these Homemade Wine Gummies.
Also, I like how simple these are to make!
Mediterranean Diet Followers should enjoy this in moderation and not recommended as daily.

    Homemade Wine Gummies

    Homemade Wine Gummies

Make this yummy gummy candy in your favorite flavors!
All you need to make these are a few simple ingredients!

Did I mention that these gummies are made with wine!?
The wine not only provides a great taste, it also gives us a cool color for our gummies.
Use more than one color and flavor of wine and you will get some great looking and tasting gummies!

Okay, so these wine enhanced gummies make for a great snack.

I totally get the snack idea. It is a well known fact that I am a fan of the snack.
    As well as the wine.

However, I think that these gummies would also make for a great party idea.
Not to start any rumors or anything, I have heard that these gummies are even better when they are soaked in wine. This is a great idea for a summer or other kind of party. However, these gummy candies make for a great gift idea- whether or not they are a party favor.

Certainly what is important here is the wine that you choose to use in your recipe.

Rose is a popular choice because of both it's color and taste. However, I also like the idea of a white wine because you can add a drop or two of food coloring to make pretty colors.

If you are making more than one batch of these wine flavored gummy candies, or you like colorful presentations, you may just want to make more than one batch.
Making more than one batch will allow you to have a colorful and flavorful bowl (or bag full for others) of gummies.
Simply make batches with colors and flavors of wine that work well with one another.

So, now that we have discussed the wine portion of this recipe idea, you are probably wondering about how to get the bear shapes.

To be honest, you do not have to make your gummies in a bear shapes. There are a ton of molds, including bear shaped molds that you can use in this recipe.

Here is what to look for in a mold for this recipe.
First of all, you can find inexpensive gummy molds online. Look for molds that are both BPA Free and made from Silicone . Also, look for for mold that come with droppers as this will make it easier for you to add the mixture to your molds (via drops!).
You can find a great assortment of sizes and shapes of inexpensive gummy molds online here.

The second most important ingredient (after the wine of course) is the Gelatin.

Gelatin is what sets the wine and other ingredients into that cool shape you chose for your molds.
It is usually sold in packets.

Look for the unflavored gelatin packets.
You can find unflavored gelatin packets easily online. This recipe calls for the .25 ounce packets of unflavored gelatin.

I mentioned earlier that you can also make your gummy even more colorful.

Sure, the wine provides us with that natural color thanks to the grapes that went into making the wine.
A rose will give us somewhere around a pink color while using a red wine will give us a nice red colored gummy candy.

However, many of use (raising my hand) are also fans of white wine.
Sure white wine can give us a nice blooming flavor in a recipe such as this one. But, white wine also gives the opportunity to add a few drops of food coloring to get even more fun colors in our gummy candy.

Sugar in another important ingredient for this recipe.

However, if you want to learn how to make sugar free gummy candy that is also something that you can do.

Normally, I would add some kind of a wine pairing with a recipe.
While it may seem obvious since the wine is such a big part of the recipe, I would like to throw out this idea.
Drop a gummy or two into your champagne glass instead. 🙂
