Instapot Lemon Pasta with Peas

This is a Mediterranean diet friendly pasta recipe that tastes amazing.
I like how colorful this pasta recipe is especially for this time of the year!

Did you try my Easy Pasta in Lemon Sauce recipe?

If you are looking for a quick lemon sauce pasta dish, that recipe may be for you.
However, this lemon pasta recipe is perfect for anyone who likes the idea of using an instapot or pressure cooker to make their kitchen creations in.

I have been asked what does an Instant Pot do.

Instant Pot is a brand name for one kind of a multi cooker or ‘instapot’.
These cookers offer a variety of ways to cook such as pressure cooking, slow cooking, rice cooking, and even yogurt cooking.

The beauty of an Instant Pot cooker is not just that it can cook your food in so many ways.

These cookers are so convenient as you can set something to cook at a certain time and they can cook something amazingly in a short amount of time. You can find an instapot cooker for under $100 these days too!

This recipe is for anyone asking how long does it take to cook pasta in an instant pot.

To make a long answer short, not long at all.
Even better, this is basically a one pot recipe which means all of the ingredients get added to the one pot and not a bunch of pots and bowls.

Making a pasta dish in a multi cooker such as an instant pot is probably the easiest method to make pasta.

I just mentioned that all of the ingredients to one pot means not having to deal with a bunch of dirty mixing bowls, skillets, and draining hot water.
While it may seem to be intimidating at first, it is rather easy to do and you will impress others when you told them that you did!

Instapot Lemon Pasta with Peas

Tips for making pasta in an instapot.

I just mentioned how nice it is to use one pot to add all of the ingredients to. That is pretty nice when it comes to clean up time!

Here are some more great tips for you.

  1. It is essential that you follow the the step by step instructions that I have listed below. Doing so will help you achieve the best results for this lemon pasta recipe.
  2. Make this recipe vegan. Use nutritional yeast instead of the parmesan cheese, cashew cream or pureed tofu for the heavy cream and vegan butter for the butter.
  3. This pasta can also be made in advance and served at room temperature. Even better, storing in a zip top bag and take it to a picnic, tailgate, or party for sharing!

You may be wondering what kind of pasta can I eat on the Mediterranean diet.

Like with so many other foods, any but, in moderation.
It is really more about what you put on top or add to the pasta than the pasta itself.

However, in this recipe penne pasta is used.

To make this even more healthy for the Med diet, you can use a whole wheat penne pasta. Other good pasta choices include farfalle, orecchiette, and cavatappi (regular or whole wheat).

How to store left over pasta.

In case you are unable to enjoy all of this pasta dish in one sitting, you can store any leftover pasta in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Freeze this pasta is another option. Any fresh toppings or stir-ins should
be added when serving according to the directions.
