People ask is a matcha latter good for you.

This beverage is certainly made with matcha tea.
Matcha tea is made from ground up special kind of green tea.

The experts tell us that there are some benefits associated with drinking green tea.

Matcha tea has been associated with cancer fighting benefits, being heart healthy, and helpful in the prevention of diabetes. You may be surprised to learn that matcha tea is also a source for protein, potassium and even calcium!

You may be wondering what does a Matcha Latte taste like.

First off, I should mention that there are several grades of matcha tea.
The biggest difference between the grades, besides price, is the process that is used to make them.

All grades of matcha tea have health benefits.

Some folks will describe the flavor of matcha tea ranging between a vegetable taste to a grass-like taste with a bit of ‘sweet’ mixed in. Many matcha teas that are sold may also have other ingredients, such as green tea, mixed in.

Make a Vegan Matcha Latte- So Good!

Tips for making latte.

Unlike many other kind of tea, hot boiling water may not be the best when it comes to matcha tea.
Some folks complain that that when boiling hot water is combined with matcha, it causes the tea to become bitter tasting.

Here are some more great tips for you.

  1. I just mentioned that water that is too hot can cause matcha tea to become bitter tasting. For best results in avoiding that bitter flavor, allow the water to heat up to between 160 and 170 F. Hot tap water can reach about 100f.
  2. Blending the tea with the water in a blender is a great way to make sure that the tea gets well blended. Some folks use a bamboo whisk in this recipe. If anything, a bamboo whisk offers a more authentic way to make this recipe.
  3. Add some additional flavoring to your matcha latte. Adding a half teaspoon of vanilla extract or ground cinnamon can make this recipe even more flavorful.

How to make vegan froth milk.

Not all vegan milks are the same when it comes to using them in a recipe.
As you may also expect, while vegan milk may be a perfect nondairy alternative in cereal, hot chocolate or similar recipes, they are not 100% like dairy milk when they get heated.

Using a vegan milk that can become frothy, similarly to cows milk, is essential for this matcha latte recipe.

First off, oat milk is the best choice for making a froth that is like dairy milk froth thanks to its chemical makeup and consistency (soy milk coming in at a close second). To make your oat milk frothy simply warm it up (not hot!) and blend for two minutes until frothy. Then allow it to set for about a minute.

How to store leftover tea.

I recommend not adding the frothy vegan milk to the tea until you are ready to serve it just in case you made too much tea for the moment. Simply store the leftover tea in the refrigerator covered until you are ready to use it (the tea should keep if covered and refrigerated for up to a few days).
