People ask what is vegan eggnog made of.

This is a good question as traditional eggnog is made with eggs.
Since eggs are not part of the vegan diet, how can eggnog be vegan?

This eggnog is not made with eggs.

Regular eggnog also has other dairy products such as heavy cream added to it.
This vegan version of eggnog is made with alternatives to these dairy products.

You may also be wondering what alcohol is in eggnog.

Let me first say that you do not have to add the alcohol to your eggnog.

Tips for making eggnog.

This eggnog really tastes best when cold. I like to refrigerate my glasses or cups for a half hour or so before serving to make the eggnog even better!

Here are some more great tips for you.

  1. Whisking the ingredients is essential when heating them up. This is done to break up lumps that can form.
  2. It is best to use full fat rather than reduced fat coconut milk. The consistency of this drink is best when full fat is used.
  3. Skip the whole boiling process by soaking the cashews overnight. Then all you will need to do is blend everything together to make this recipe.

Make this recipe into a vegan eggnog ice cream.

Surprisingly, this recipe tastes amazing frozen too!
This is a no-churn recipe which makes it even better in my opinion

How to store vegan eggnog.

Leftovers should be stored covered in a refrigerator.
If properly stored, it should keep for about a week.
