    Frequently asked questions about popsicles.

The answer is to making popsicles vegan is to use ingredients that are not animal byproducts. That is, using no dairy and using flavorings that are not animal related.

In order to make creamy popsicles vegan, such as the popsicles in this recipe, you would need to use an alternative to the usual 'creamy dairy' ingredient that would be used. Almond milk or coconut milk are two vegan alternatives that add both the flavor and the texture in this creamy popsicle recipe.

Tips for making vegan popsicles with peaches.

Using (very!) ripe peaches is recommended for this recipe. Not only are these peaches easier to to cream with other ingredients, they are also more flavorful😉).

Here are some more great tips for you.

    1. Chunks of fruit can be added to these pops for both added flavor and to make them more interesting. It is a good idea to allow the popsicles to first set a bit in order to prevent the chunks from settling in one place.
    2. To transfer the ingredients into the molds, try using a large funnel if your blender or food processor does not have a spout. Another option is to use a ladle.
    3. My popsicles were made with just peaches added. However, you could also add a few berries, shredded coconut, or even something crunchy such as granola to your pops.

    How to store vegan popsicles.

Once the popsicles have fully set in their molds, you can remove them from the molds and individually wrap them in foil or freezer wrap. If properly wrapped and stored in a freezer, these popsicles should keep for a couple of months.

About this recipe for peaches and cream frozen popsicles.

This is a simple recipe for making a frozen vegan treat. These frozen treats feature dollops of blended peaches with frozen vegan milk.

To make this recipe we will first blend together peaches with vegan milk.

The peach mixture will then be frozen long enough to somewhat set.
Then we will add the remaining ingredients to finish making the pops.

Ingredients needed to make Vegan Peaches and Cream Popsicles

    • Peaches . Your peaches should be peeled and sliced with the pits removed.
    • Vegan Milk. Almond milk or coconut milk (full fat for a creamier result) work best in this recipe.
    • Maple Syrup. This is for sweetening and for flavor. Agave can alternatively be used.
    • Vanilla Extract. Added for flavor balance.
    • Optional- additional slices of peaches, berries, or even a tablespoon or so of lemon juice for flavor.

Expert Tip👉 My popsicles were made in layers of peaches and vegan dairy. You can alternatively simply blend or process all of the ingredients together and make these popsicles whole rather than in layers.

    • To prepare your molds, make sure that they are clean and dry. Then place them with the open ends up in a secure location so that they will stand up when you fill them.
    • Process the peaches with ½ cup of the vegan milk. Evenly transfer this to the molds filling them about an inch. Then refrigerate the remaining peach mixture.
    • Freeze the molds for an hour for the peach mixture to somewhat set.
    • Blend, process, or whisk together the remaining vegan milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
    • To transfer the milk mixture to the molds, first add a bit to each of the molds and then add dollops of the remaining peach mixture, alternating each as desired, filling the molds about two thirds to three quarter full.
    • Place the sticks or holders into each of the popsicles and place the molds into your freezer.
    • To add additional chunks of fruit to the popsicles, let the popsicles freeze for about an hour to thicken. Then push the slices or chunks of fruit into place.

Expert Tip👉 To remove the popsicles from the molds, fill your sink or a baking pan with about an inch of warm water. Then gently pull the popsicles from the mold.
