Ingredients needed to make this spicy orange salad.
- Oranges. My salad was made with mandarin oranges. The orangers were peeled and separated. If your oranges are firm enough, you can dice them up as desired.
- Onion. A flavorful red onion was used in my salad. The onion was sliced thin for more flavor.
- Peppers. Serrano peppers were sliced thin and seeds were left intact for an extra kick. You can use the pepper(s) of your choice with or without the seeds.
- Lime Juice. Used for tossing the ingredients in. It is best to use freshly squeezed lime juice.
- Seasonings as desired. This can include salt and/or pepper.
- Optional ingredients, Honey or maple syrup for tossing, fresh mint leaves for flavor, and toasted nuts or seeds for texture.
