    1. Dressing. I like to make the dressing first so that the flavors have a bit of time to meld together. In a medium bowl or wide mouthed mason jar, use a whisk to combine together the dressing ingredients.
    2. Assemble. In a large bowl, toss together the kale and cabbage until combined. Then drizzle half of the dressing over the ingredients, toss the ingredients, and then repeat, tossing the ingredients until well combined.
    3. Serve. Sprinkle the almonds, and any optional ingredients, over the salad and serve.
