Tips for making the best Kale Salad.

Curly kale works great in this recipe. Select kale that is fresh and has good color.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. Massaging the kale with your hands is done to soften it up and also to reduce bitterness.
    2. Using canned beans works well in this recipe. It is important that your beans are rinsed and drained well so that the liquid stays out of your salad.
    3. You can make your vinaigrette dressing ahead of time and store it in your refrigerator. This will help the flavors meld together for better flavor.
    4. Taste your dressing and make adjustments as needed for flavor, adding additional maple syrup or lemon juice as needed for example.
    5. Not a fan of the seeds? You can easily use nuts, such as chopped walnuts instead.
    6. For added goodness you can add spinach leaves or a bit of protein to your salad.
