What makes homemade granola so good?

Homemade granola is made with healthy ingredients, is easily customizable to your likings, and is easy to make in a small amount of time.

I like that homemade granola tastes good in a bowl with Vegan Milk or sprinkled on top of Vegan Ice Cream .

Have you tried my recipe for No Bake Chocolate Chip Oat Bars

Thar recipe for No Bake Chocolate Chip Oat Bars is a simple six ingredient treat that is both vegan and soy free. Both this homemade granola and that oat bar are made with rolled oats and are sweetened with maple syrup, making them perfect as a vegan treat.

Almond flour is used in this recipe for both flavor and texture. You can find almond flour here.

What you need to make vanilla granola with almonds.

    • Oil Use a neutral oil such as canola oil or coconut oil.
    • Maple Syrup Pure maple syrup rather than a blend or alternative.
    • Vanilla Extract Almond extract can alternatively be used for a more almond-like flavor.
    • Salt. A small amount of salt will help bring out the other flavors.
    • Oats. Old Fashioned rolled oats should be used. Quick oats will not work as well in this recipe.
    • Almond Flour. This adds to the structure of the granola.
    • Almonds. Use sliced or slivered raw almonds. Roasted could work if you are enjoying this granola as a snack.

Tips for making the best homemade granola.

Sliced raw almonds were used to make my granola. You can chop the almonds for a more uniform granola.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. Almond flour is used to add to the texture and to allow the granola for form clusters and flavor. I would not substitute another flour for this.
    2. When you spread the mixture on to your baking sheet, make sure that you do so evenly. This will allow for the granola ingredients to bake evenly.
    3. Can you substitute honey for for the maple syrup? Honey and maple syrup do not measure the same so a substitution may not work as well for you.
