Start by washing your mango to remove any dirt or debris on the skin. Then stand the mango up with the flat side facing down and cut off the thick sides from top to bottom cutting around the seed. Use your knife to cut the flesh from each of the sides from top to bottom, four lengthwise cuts should do it. Use a spoon to scoop this flesh away from the skin and then chop or slice it up for this recipe.

As with most other kinds of salsa, this recipe tastes great as a dip for chips.

Ingredients needed to make Vodka Mango Salsa.
- Mangos- 3. Your mangos should be ripe, prepared as indicated above, and chopped into small pieces.
- Pepper- 1. Serrano or Jalapeño Pepper, seeds removed and then sliced or diced. Please wear gloves before touching the pepper as it can burn.
- Red Bell Pepper- 1 with seeds removed and then chopped.
- Cilantro- ¼ cup chopped.
- Red Onion- ½ cup chopped.
- Vodka- 2 tablespoons.
- Lime Juice- 2 tablespoons. If you omit the vodka simply use 4 tablespoons of the lime juice.
- Salt and seasoning as needed.
How to make this mango salsa recipe
- In a large serving or mixing bowl, place the chopped mango, peppers, cilantro, and onion. Gently mix the ingredients.
- Drizzle the vodka and lime juice over the ingredients and toss. Season as desired and adjust the lime juice or vodka as desired.
- Allow the ingredients to set in the refrigerator for more flavor before serving.
