The easiest solution is to use a honey mustard dressing or dip to replace both the honey and the mustard in this recipe. However, if you are looking to keep your ingredients more pure or simple, I suggest using a Dijon Mustardor similar mustard along with regular honey.

Tips Grilled Honey Mustard Chicken Breast
I mentioned above that while you could use the suggested Dijon Mustardor similar mustard along with regular honey, for this recipe, you could use a combined product such as a honey mustard dressing or dipinstead.
Here are some more great tips for you.
- Allowing your chicken to marinate in the honey mustard for a minimum of thirty minutes (or overnight in a zip top bag) can certainly make this a more flavorful chicken recipe.
- Adding a bit of Worcestershire Sauce or similar sauce can help offset the sweetness of the honey if this recipe seems to be too sweet for you.
- This chicken recipe works best when grilled at a lower temperature for a longer time. I suggest grilling your chicken not in direct heat of the grill as opposed to just over the heat. It should be done cooking when the juices run clear.
Here are some tips for how to grill chicken.
Keep in mind that the goal of grilled chicken is to get chicken that is fully cooked, is juicy in the mouth, and tastes delicious. The easiest way to do this is to remember to cook longer at not the hottest temperatures. This is because fast cooking at warmer temperatures will certainly cause your chicken to both not be fully cooked an not be juicy on the inside.

Here are a few more ways to keep your chicken from becoming dry.
Allowing the chicken to sit in a marinade for at least thirty minutes can help you get juice into your chicken. Also, if you are using a grill that has a cover, the cover will help cook your chicken more evenly and hold on to the moisture.
How to know when your chicken is done cooking.
When times for cooking chicken are given in a recipe, they are usually estimates of cooking time because not every oven or grill is the same and cooking times can vary as a result. The best way to know if your chicken is done is to use a thermometer to see if your chicken has reached 165 f degrees. Also, cut into the chicken and assure that there is no pink and that the juices are clear.

How to Grill Honey Mustard Chicken
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk or mix together with a fork the honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil and seasonings. Pull out a half cup of the mixture and store in in the refrigerator in a jar or container with a top. We will use this as a marinade while the chicken cooks.
- Place the chicken is a zip top or similar reusable bag and pour the remaining liquid over it. Seal the bag shut and shake the ingredients around to assure that the chicken becomes covered with the marinade. Then refrigerate for at least thirty minutes.
- When you are ready to grill your chicken, preheat the grill to a medium heat. Also, prep the grilling surface for nonstick as desired (I use nonstick spray on the grates before placing the grates on the grill).
- Remove the chicken from the bag and discard the bag with the liquid.
- Grill the chicken for five to six minutes on each side until done. Use the remaining stored marinade as needed while grilling.
