Ingredients needed to make Mediterranean Diet Lemon Honey Chicken Breast

    • Chicken. Use skinless and boneless chicken breast.
    • Flour. Used to make a light coating for the chicken.
    • Seasonings. Added to the flour, this includes salt, pepper, and paprika (feel free to customize this).
    • Olive Oil. A similar neutral oil can be used but, olive oil adds a nice flavor to this chicken recipe. Optional- you can sub in butter for part of the olive oil to add flavor. Note that butter is not always the best choice however on the Mediterranean diet.
    • Garlic. The garlic should be minced.
    • Chicken Stock. You can sub in another stock as desired.
    • Lemon Juice. Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor.
    • Honey. Use the honey of your choice. I like to use local honey when I can.
    • Lemon. The lemon should be sliced in one quarter to half inch slices that are again sliced in half to make a 'half moon'.
    • Option- chopped cilantro or similar herb.

Expert Tip 👉 Adjust the amount of honey and lemon juice according to your taste preference. If you like it sweeter, add more honey; if you like it tangier, add more lemon juice
