More helpful tips for you.
- This pudding is made by heating it steadily on medium-low heat. It is important that the heat is slow and low rather than allowing the ingredients to get too warm.
- Whisking the ingredients while they are heating is the key to both keeping the lumps away and cooking the pudding evenly.
- Your pudding should thicken while it is cooking and also while refrigerated. If it seem just too thin while heating, you can add an extra teaspoon or two of the cornstarch.
- Adding a teaspoon or so of espresso or the coffee of choice, dry or cooled, can really bring out the chocolate flavor in this pudding.
- Vanilla extract is used for additional flavor to balance out the chocolate. Another extract, such as orange or banana extract, can alternatively be used.
- Lastly, to prevent a 'skin' from forming on top of the pudding when refrigerator, be sure to cover it with plastic wrap or a similar item.
