Tips for making this vegan hummus recipe.
I prefer to use softer or smaller chocolate chips in a recipe such as this one to make eating it easier to do. You can find vegan chocolate chips here.
Here are some more great tips for you.
- While I am using peanut butter in this recipe, any nut butter can work as long as it is "natural" for the moisture. Natural sunflower seed butter is a seed butter that could also work.
- I am using vegan butter in this recipe. Vegan butter is available in larger grocery stores or you can use an oil instead.
- Lastly, make sure that you are using a vegan brown sugar.
How to prepare beans for hummus.
To make this recipe you will need chickpeas or garbanzo beans. You can use canned chickpeas/garbanzo beans.
Here is how to use the canned beans.
Open the can and drain the beans, allowing the liquid to run into a bowl or cup so that you can use it in another recipe later on. Then rinse the beans well and allow the water to fully run off.
How to store hummus.
This hummus should be stored in an airtight container. If stored properly in a refrigerator, leftover hummus should keep for up to three days.
